Fitzgerald was in the mold of Jerry Rice, sick hands perfect route running, etc. But when he was in his Prime vs Megatron, Megatron was still better. Megatron is the best receiver I've ever gotten to see for a reason. Rice may have been better, but I think you're talking about 1A vs 1B.

Rice played in an era where defenders could defend. Teams ran the ball. Officials didn't throw flags at any sign of contact or roughness. Defenders could knock his head off if he went across the middle. Johnson plays in an era where the rules are geared toward big offensive numbers. Defenders can't play defense, his QB throws the ball damn near every snap and he can't get his block knocked off after he makes a catch.

Offensive numbers in this era are highly inflated and as of right now, Megatron is on pace with Rice. He's going to have to have to do what he's already done in his career and do it again for another 7 years. After another 7 years of being the best WR in the league, he needs to then be a solid top 10 receiver for the last 4 years or so of his career. Only then could you make a 1A and 1B comparison.

Saying most talented ever =/= being the GOAT at your position. Tron is clearly more talented physically. But no one would argue that Rice's career is unmatched. And while offenses may have changed, the 49ers were running essentially the same type of offense anyways, though obviously not throwing quite as much as the Lions do.

If you use the era argument then you could argue Joe blow from the 60s and 70s is better than Rice because back then you could mug a receiver and get away with it. Pretty silly argument to say "defenders could defend" cause people always said that about the NFL.

And Megatron isn't on pace with Rice, he's smashing what Rice did. You're right about era, but Rice will likely still be the best over a career when it's all said and done cause I don't think Megatron will be able to play 19 seasons. I think Megatron will have a better peak, but Rice will have a better career. And I certainly would rather have Megatron on the Niners in the 80s and early 90s with Montana and Young throwing to him over Megatron with Stafford throwing to him. If you put Megatron on the Pats, Broncos, or Packers, he'd be a 2000 yard most years receivers. Stafford has ****ty accuracy but Megatron still is the best in the business.

Hm I'd say the Cowboys have a better present AND future than the Redskins. What exactly do the Skins have that the Cowboys don't? Serious question. You gave 3 1st rounders PLUS some for a ****ty, divalicious QB, Desean is working on getting cut by his 2nd team, and no one on defense. We have three young stud o-lineman, and...just so much more than you.

Boggles my mind how Snyder is a better owner than JJ...they are pretty much equals, but JJ has more success (past and present).
All you can do is hang your hat on one game. One game where Brandon Weeden beats you if he stays in. Oops. Enjoy another losing record :)

No other receiver in history put himself as far ahead of the competition as Rice did. If some guy in the 60's had twice the number of TD's and yards as the next guy, then you could consider him possibly the greatest of all time.

Megatron is smashing what? He'll be about 28 or 29 TD's behind where Rice was at the same point in his career at the end of the year. He has less yards. He'll have 20 or 30 more receptions. That's it. I don't think you realize how important route running is. I'll take a guy who can run routes over a guy who's big, fast and can jump any day. There are two necessary skills to being a WR in the NFL. Route running and hands. Size, speed and jumping ability are secondary skills. Rice had elite primary skills and good secondary skills while Megatron has elite secondary skills and good primary skills. Don't be fooled by Megatron jumping over DB's and making highlight reel catches. Rice catches the same ball while having a step on his defender because of his route running.

You got beat by a 3rd string QB so the QB argument is funny. How is JJ worse? How about sending out demeaning articles about your best player to try to lower the price tag on the player? The same player you have to have special rules for to keep him out of trouble (and not beating up his Mom anymore)

The Skins aren't stacked on defense, but they do have a couple good building blocks; mainly at corner....including a 4th round rookie that shut down Dez Bryant. Clearly they have more than "nothing."

Not sure why DeSean would be cut, he's been great. Does it bother you than Dez has less yards than MeSean despite getting targeted 29 more times....lulz.

Does it upset you that DeSean puts up better numbers than Dez with RG3, Colt McCoy, Cousins, and Foles as QBs instead of Romo?

It is funny for a Redkins fan to try and talk ****. Widely regarded as a huge mess. On the verge of another really poor season. Off a loss to the BUCS, who are at the bottom of a terrible NFC South. With the ultimate diva QB, that no one in the locker room likes, that was just called out by his coach. Fans of THAT team are still talking. I guess that's all you've got left this season? Womp :/

Yup, bad losses happen, especially to rivals when your QB is knocked out.
Still doesn't change the fact the foreSkins are a mess for the foreseeable in every regard.

I absolutely love when bandwagon Cowboys fans talk crap. LOL, a Braves and Cowboys fan; you know what that means. Someone born in the late 70s to 80s that jumped on winning teams bandwagons! Its always comical to hear a bandwagon fan talk ****. Oh, Sixers fan too; why because of AI? Worst team in professional sports, LOL...good job jumping on that bandwagon...worked out well...Were the Lakers not available?

Actually, not at all; I predicted it early in the season. It is fun to get wins and ruin the Cowboys chances with a 3rd stringer in Dallas on a Monday night though. One of us actually has hopes for the year....that means one of us (you) are setting yourself up for failure when the ****ty ass Cowboys do their typical falling apart. Hey, Maybe JJ can call some plays:
