First time in NFL history division leader is three games under .500. Un...be...lievable.

Falcons will win the division at 6-10 with all 6 wins coming in the division then go on to win the superbowl. Would be the ultimate troll.

Would like the division winner to be 6-10. So when a potential 10 or 11 win team misses out, maybe the NFL will realize how screwed up they are.

Ditch the divisions and keep the conferences. You play the other 15 conference opponents and alternate each season between home games. Then you play one team from the other conference once a season. It's really not hard to see how much better this format would be.

That's still a pretty ****ty format, and it ignores rivalries. I know that's weird for Niners cause their biggest "rival" is the Seahawks who've only been in the NFC for like a decade.

Its a joke that teams with 10 wins are going to be missing hte playoffs because of a team in an all time horrible division.

Two of the Eagles/Cowboys/Seahawks/49ers/Lions won't make the playoffs because of that crap. Such a joke. Division play is an outdated system.

Still waiting for the South to not be terrible, like you told me would happen...

Not a perfect system, but it's a heck of a lot better than what the current system has. Most rivals are in your conference already, so this wouldn't eliminate rivalries.

Historically, it isn't unless you look at only the one year sample for this discussion. In that case, maybe you should denote that fact before the post.

What? I'm talking about this year. What does history have to do with it? Zito said the south would rebound by the end of the year. They look worse.

I blame that on the Saints, I thought they were on the verge of turning the corner. ALso I'm pretty sure when I said that (though I may be wrong) was before the Falcons lost all their OL depth.

Boo hoo...Falcons lost average at best players. Thats the difference between them being a solid team or an awful team.

I'm not gonna have this discussion with you since you seem to think you can get any production out of OL signed off the street who have no clue about your system.

Even if the Falcons were healthy that division is terrible.

If the Saints were as good as I thought they were (like a 10 win team or so) and the Falcons were 6-8 win team I figured about 6 wins for Panthers and Bucs would still have been strong. Not last year strong but still strong.

Falcons have a terrible defense as well. Let's pretend like a better OL is going to turn the defense around. They'd be in the same boat as the Saints. Great offense. ****ty defense.

Not even a great offense. Very good QB and a great WR.
