The defensive line has been great for the 49ers for the last 4 years. You don't think Tomsula had something to do with that?

I think having Justin Smith had a lot to do with that. Defense isn't the issue here. The offense needs fixing. Taking a defensive line coach and promoting after interviewing all these other people is one of the dumbest things to ever happen.

I think the the staff of Traver and Tressman should be pretty good. Whatever the situation is though the 49ers just need to figure Kap out and how to use him the right way.

No clue how he is but a good line coach or coordinator doesnt make someone a good head coach.

@vxmcclure23: Can confirm the potential of an Teryl Austin-Adam Gase duo with the Falcons, as just reported by @RapSheet

@RapSheet: #Falcons, who have finalist Teryl Austin in today for a 2nd interview, will request Adam Gase for an OC interview. Interesting potential duo

@JohnMiddlekauff: I've been told Adam Gase is not going to join Jim Tomsula's staff.... look for him to end up as the OC in Atlanta

Darren McKee of 104.3 The Fan morning show in Denver told Mike Meltser and Seth Payne on Mad Radio on SportsRadio 610 Wednesday that Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Broncos John Elway fired John Fox earlier this week partially because of how the Broncos looked next to the Texans in preseason practices.

Kicker is how deep the draft is at upper echelon RBs IMO. Don't pay top dollar if you can get replacement level or close to it in the draft. Pay Dez instead.

Apparently the 4/16 was offered BEFORE this season, and there's been no offer since.

Reports are Tomsula has a four year contract. All coaches have been let go except for Tom Rathman. I think Rathman is safe because Gore loves him and could hopefully bring Frank back. If Gore left because of this coaching ordeal the fans probably would revolt for sure.

Rob Chudzinski and Marc Trestmann are names I hear for OC. I'd prefer Chud because he knows how to use a quarterbacks's athletic ability as a strength. Although he used Cam Newton far too much in Carolina. Point is he would make Kaepernick play to his strengths and not try and force him into something he isn't which is a pocket passer.

Personally i think he wanted to fire him after the SB debacle, but didnt.
