REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I will defend Hardy. Missing practice ain't cool but the rest of the **** I don't care what he does off the field so long as he isn't raping or killing people. His job is to get the QB, there isn't anything he was going to do in practice he hasn't done a million times already. Maybe I am alone in this but I don't view players as angels. I watched h documentaries on old time players where they talk about how mean a player was and they were trying to hurt people but we fondly remember those guys and demonize the players nowadays for the same ****. **** the NFL and it's hypocrisy. Kind of hard for them to preach morality with King Douchebag as commisioner.

Well I agree with you about anything moral high ground related regarding the commish, but there are some things I wouldn't do or be in favor of in order to win a championship, even if it were guaranteed beforehand, and sign someone who beats up women, unless in self defense (which we can be pretty darn sure isn't the case with him) is right up towards the top of that list.

Dez did, and apparently Romo had to speak to him as well.

And neither Dez or Romo will play any worse for having given Hardy a stern talking to. My point is these are professional football players. They have a lot more on their minds that are distractions than what Greg Hardy is doing. This soap opera **** might be a distraction if this was a high school football team. The players probably spend more time on the field thinking about the last time or next time they will get laid than they do about Greg Hardy.

That's a choice I think the teams should be able to make. Odds are out of the 53 man roster and the coaching staff your rooting for some turrible people who just haven't had their bad deeds exposed. Football is an aggressive and physical sport. It's not easy for some of those players to turn that off. People that make their living hitting people are probably going to hit people off the field at a higher rate than regular people. Greg Hardy is a Douchebag of the highest caliber but I bet you he still has women lining up. Probably the same ones he already beat up too.

edit - Saints had a serial rapist on defense when they won the super bowl.

I guarantee you none of the players on the cowboys gives two ****s what Greg Hardy does. Except for his backup. I bet his backup is outraged.

I guarantee you that you are wrong. I bet there are several players on the team that didn't want him on the team in the first place considering what he had done.

Glad we're paying Ryan all this money to play like **** against last-place teams. Oh look, another underachieving performance.

Oh, look. Another receiver left open.
