Bellichek hasn't won crap since he has been picking the players.
Can't argue with Newsome.
Tompson has the best QB of all time IMO. Kudo's to him for drafting him but they win because of Rodgers and not because he picks a great team.
Jerry Resses first team was basically Acorsi's team. He has been crap aside from the super bowl teams. The roster is awful right now.

Belichek's Pats have missed what, one playoff in his history?
Thompson has drafted Rodgers, Hawk, Jennings, James Jones, Nelson, Finley, Raji, Matthews, Bulaga, Cobb, so on so forth. Him having the foresight to draft Rodgers while having Favre deserves a lot of credit.

Falcons have edge rush issues, but Aldon and Ware couldn't be as effective in a 4-3 system. Falcons need a hybrid someone fast like them but big enough to be effective vs the run.

Right now Borland reminds me of Luke Kuechly – a tackling machine with outstanding instincts and a nose for the football – and though it is early days he is already impressing me more than Kuechly ever has. He might remind me a lot of Kuechly, but I think he may be a better player, and given that Kuechly is currently sitting atop the PFF inside linebacker rankings that is no small praise.

Zito was posing some GM's that were better than Baalke. I disgareed with Bellicheck because the reason that team wins is because of Brady and we was drafted by someone other than Bellichek.

No, I understand that...but you can't take away credit from BB and the Pats because they got Brady. Every team in the league passed on him 6 times, they get the credit for taking him and all the success that came with it.

Brady doesn't totally discount everything else they've done. They've found a lot of good players to build an incredibly successful run.
I'm not disparaging the Patriots. We are comparing the merits of a GM. Bellichek wasn't always the guy that picked players. After he won all those super bowls he gradually gained more power over play personel. I don't believe its right to give him credit for Brady. Just my opinion.
Absolutely they have but a great QB changes everything.
The Packers are basically all Aaron Rodgers. He is that good. A whole organization changes with an all time QB.

No one is necessarily giving him credit for Brady. Brady isn't the sole reason for the SBs. You still need 52 other players.

That just makes no sense, so Baalke doesn't get credit for Kap, right? Or any other player than Harbaugh won out on?
Baalke picked those players. Bellicheck was not the guy who picked Brady. Sure, he may have had some input but Bellichek was not the figure then as he is now. As a GM, Bellichek should not get credit for Brady.
So Thompson is smarter bc he picked a great QB which changes everything?
Yeah, I gave Thompson that credit. He will always go down as one of the greatest GM's of all time because he picked the greatest QB of all time.
