Source tells me talks with Falcons and Lions DC Teryl Austin now likely to take place tomorrow rather than waiting until Thursday.

Reeks of desperation ... Took too long on all candidates

Bowles is hiring Chan Gailey, so color me not as bummed now. Not sure that would have been a fit.
 
The Cowboys had to keep Garrett. I was never a big fan of his, but this year speaks for itself, and the players really responded to him. I think they have a good thing going, and keeping the whole coaching staff together is big. I'm not sure who they could've gone after that's a better bet at this point.

Cowboys also reportedly offered Murray 4 years/$16MM.

Agreed, and I don't want to give it to him. My hunch is a lot of guys could run behind this line. He just had like 500 touches, has an injury history already, and isn't young-young. No point in giving him a ton of money or more than 4 years.

Kicker is how deep the draft is at upper echelon RBs IMO. Don't pay top dollar if you can get replacement level or close to it in the draft. Pay Dez instead.
