REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Falcons hired Kyle Shanahan as their new offensive coordinator.
Atlanta plans to officially hire Seahawks DC Dan Quinn as their new coach immediately following the Feb. 1 Super Bowl. It gives them a powerful pairing on either side of the ball. Shanahan has established himself as a strong offensive game-planner and schemer during seven years as an NFL coordinator, even coaxing the talent-deficient, Brian Hoyer-led Browns to to 23.2 points a game for the first nine weeks before the wheels came off. Shanny's presence boosts the stock of Matt Ryan and Julio Jones heading into 2015. It would also be good news for Steven Jackson if the 32-year-old (in July) had anything left in the tank.

Not a whole lot of negative in these moves. Really like the direction we are in...

He's 11-33 for 120 yards and 3 picks....

Dude has a HORRIBLE postseason career stat line, that's not up for debate ....its HORRIBLE

Cant argue that but when you have to score on every possession, what do you expect?

Football is starting become unbearable because people want to make all sorts of permanent declarations after one game. Week after week after week.

Four turnovers the defense created. Rodgers was missing open targets all game long. Can't pint this on their defense.

They blew a 12 point lead in the final two minutes. Yes I can. This is the exact **** I'm talking about. People want to make declarations after three talented qbs have one bad game.

Because the loss was not all on Rodgers. Works both ways.

GB's defense gets way more credit than any blame.

Rodgers did very little to help his team win. His defense got him the ball twice in the redzome and he got 6 points out of it (plus a pick in the ends one that cost the packers at least 3 more points).

He was thereason they lost

He wasn't the reason, but he was a big part of it. I blame it on playcalling. With the lead they had they should have been giving it off to Lacy.

Anyway go Patriots. Although it'd be funny to have Seattle win and BRule tell us Wilson is better than Brady.

I'm hoping for a brilliant game. I'm hoping the Pats have a goofy set of playcalls and see how the Seahawks react to it. I think Seattle will have to abandon the Sherman rule if the Pats are smart.

Rodgers had i think 3-4 drives start on the Seattle 30.

Two started inside the 20.

With that type of FP, they should of had 30+ points at a minimum.

Rodgers didnt play well at all, and their defense have him FOUR extra possessions.

Team loss as all games are but he deserves some blame.

So, the enemy of my favorite team is playing the enemy of my second favorite team in the super bowl... Not looking forward to this one.

Wait, what?

@bkravitz A league source tells me the NFL is investigating the possibility the Patriots deflated footballs Sunday night. More to come.

That doesnt surprise me with their 4 OL look, and now this.

Bill probably has someone video taping the Seahawks practices the next few weeks.

Would anyone be shocked? Cheatriots always be cheating, Belichick will claim he didn't really get the rules and so on so forth.
