Great comeback win. Dallas seemed to get away from what was working. Quinn is making a believer out of me.
Eh. Mike Smith started off hot when he got here too.
I'm still skeptical about the defense which is what Quinn (and Smith) were brought in to stabilize. The offense is roughly the same as Pre-Quinn.

Defense is still a major concern but the attitude of this team is much better. A whole lot more grit, maturity and clutchness.

This team wouldn't have beaten Dallas a year ago. Granted we're not as good of a team as Dallas. We lucked out they didn't have Romo and Bryant. But these are the games you have to win if you want to get into the playoffs. 3-0 start is perfect. And what's better is they're pretty much looked better each game.

Back to back solid road wins. If you figure the Falcons can win at least 6 at home, the math gets really difficult to envision them not winning at least 9 games.

Wasn't expecting a win today, but losing like that is frustrating. Hopefully Dallas can at least tread water until Romo and Dez get back.
Knew Julio would have a big day. The Cowboys don't have a DB good enough to cover him. I'm not sure any team does.

It probably won't happen, but on paper, there's a good chance we could be 9-0 heading into the game with the Colts. We're still the Falcons, so I fully expect us to lose a couple games we have no business losing.
I played the Falcons to win over 8.5 games so I think that is going to be easy for them. Free money! But, good lord, they should have stomped the QBs who played without pretty much all their good players. It wouldn't hurt the Falcons to actually cover underneath routes.

I didn't think they played Weeden that poorly. They allowed him to complete dink and dunk passes, so what? He completed one pass to a WR.
I am concerned about how poorly they played the run though. They can't sustain their success by allowing every Sprolesian back to have career games against them. But I think that's a personnel issue. Worrilow isn't athletic and we don't have outside LB that can set the edge outside of Durant. Hopefully Reed can help in that area.
4 passes to a WR, but dink and dunk is fine; except that they got 9 yards per attempt. I don't know why you wouldn't load the box on a terrible QB and make him uncomfortable as opposed to letting him get 9 yards every pass on checkdowns to running backs.

A lot of those yards came from poor tackling which is a personnel issue, not scheme. The same issue I addressed with the running game applies to check down. I was glad they didn't give up a pass play longer than 20 yards. If they did, this game might have gone to the Cowboys.
