5/ So the idea the FBI needed the Dossier to get a warrant on Page in

*October* '16—with only a probable cause showing needed and with the

FBI having much more non-Dossier intel than I've mentioned—is absurd.

The GOP can't accept how suspicious Page looked

—well, too bad for them.

I am wondering if the "dosssier " has been a Trojan horse planted / exploited by Mueller for the mind of Trumpians

So what I am getting at is this.
If you are (R) and love your $4.50 a week tax relief --- it is time to be formulating a Plan B
Because Trump and his schitt are not in the wildest of wildest dreams a viable Plan A

Where are you getting this $4.50 number?

My own check is showing over $100 per week extra. That's $400+ a month... or half of crumbs in your worldview

If twitter is any indication, people are pleasantly surprised by what they found in their paycheck today

8/ The FBI *noticed* that Trump had no business hiring Papadopoulos,
and that the only explanation for either Page *or* Papadopoulos being chosen
by Trump was that they were known to have potential or actual Kremlin contacts.

The FBI *noticed* this without *any* help from Steele.

9/ What the GOP did today was project *its own blindness*

on Trump and his "national security team" onto the FBI, which—*because it's not a partisan outfit*

—wasn't blinded in that way themselves. But instead of lauding the FBI fo

r *not* being blind, the GOP attacked them for it.

10/ I don't care if you're a Democrat, Republican, or independent

—if you believe the FBI *desperately needed the Steele Dossier* to meet

the justice system's lowest standard of proof (probable cause) to get a surveillance warrant on Carter Page,

*start watching the news, genius*.

was Page still working with the campaign when the warrant was issued in October...i dont believe so...and the renewals were after the elections and in one case after the inauguration

Incidental collection (which has been my bone of contention about FISA/Trump associates since day 1)

My antidote shows $4.50 your anecdote shows $400 --- which is the point

Like todays memo escapade - you make my point- without knowing you are making the opposite point you intend.

All the same, good for you

but Page was no longer associated with the campaign by then...he had become politically radioactive

Can you be certain that Page had no contact with any of his fellow inner-circle associates, possibly in relation to orchestrating a response to an impending investigation?

If you actually think the tax rate reductions result in an average of $4.50 per week for people, then you are even dumber than I imagined (and that was a very low bar to clear before)

If you don't actually think that, then why do you intentionally lie?

of course not...but think about this...if the system was being abused to monitor the Trump campaign why issue the warrant after Page had become persona non grata to the campaign

I didn't say average I said my anecdote

Read Grasshopper --- Read

At the same time I'd like to see data supporting an average of $400 per week savings.
your anecdote I take it ?

Good for you if you get $400 but my sense is that would be the exception rather than the rule.
Kinda like that wistful 79%

I take your point, but I'm not much for the Deep State FBI theory. Looking back at my original post I see where you might have gotten that with the 'pure coincidence' comment, but I meant that in terms of organizational exposure.

I never said I get $400 extra a week.

You should focus on that reading thing you're always screeching about.

The onus isn't on me to prove anything as I'm not the one who made the claim of $4.50 per week. You did. Show your work, or just admit you like to lie to push an agenda.

In a world of obfuscation, BuzzFeed's decision to publish

the Steele memo is holding up as a good journalistic choice

' Got my first paycheck with the new rates... nice having a few hundreds bucks a month extra in the pocket.

Why are we moving goalposts?

The Cohen/Prague thing is one that comes to mind immediately.

Now your turn.

Congressional investigators are also trying to ascertain whether Cohen, one of Trump’s longest-serving and most trusted advisers, met with Russian operatives somewhere in Europe, including Prague, where the dossier alleges he attended a meeting to “clean up the mess” created by public disclosures of other Trump associates’ reported ties to Russia.

Cohen has come under close scrutiny for several Trump-Russia controversies, including emailing Putin’s spokesman two weeks before the first GOP primary to ask for his help in advancing a proposal to build a Trump Tower development project in Moscow. He also was linked to a proposed pro-Russian peace plan for Ukraine involving Felix Sater, a former Trump business associate with Russian government connections.

Cohen has strenuously denied that a Prague meeting occurred, and he provided a copy of his passport to BuzzFeed in May. The passport was stamped for entry and exit to the United Kingdom and Italy — but not the Czech Republic, whose capital is Prague. “I have never been to Prague in my life. #fakenews,” Cohen tweeted on Jan. 10.

His passport stamps show that he traveled twice to London in 2016 and once to Italy, from July 9 to July 17.

Cohen’s passport would not show any record of a visit to Prague if he entered the EU through Italy, traveled to the Czech Republic, and then returned to his point of EU entry. A congressional official said the issue is “still active” for investigators.

Hardly "proven false."
