The FBI's “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation was officially opened on July 31, 2016.

I think the dates are important to keep in mind.

As for Mifsud's whereabouts, I have no clue. I find it interesting that his friend and benefactor Stephan Roh is one of those peddling the theory that the whole thing is a "game" being played by western intelligence agencies and the Clinton Foundation. In due course, I expect we will learn more about Mifsud and Roh.

Also from the article linked above:

He used Carter Page to get to me and he used me to get to George. George was the target. I think George was the target all along."

Is this supposed to be some sort of revelation? It would be dereliction of duty if the FBI were not trying to trying to understand what exactly Mifsud shared with Papadopoulos, and what Papadopoulos in turn did with that information.

I also find this quote from Clovis interesting:

"As far as I know, no one in the campaign lifted a finger to get to the 30,000 emails."

Duh. The Russians and Wikileaks were willing to make sure the emails was disseminated. They were kind enough to create a situation where no one in the campaign had to lift a finger. It is an interesting denial of an accusation that no one is making.

Um, I confess I've lost the thread a little bit. Are you saying that the Papadopoulos approach and the "adoption" meeting were both Deep State setups?
 
Considering that there was some irregularities of the state deparmentment granted her a VISA to enter the country after it was denied no more than 4 months prior I'd say its obviously all a deep state plot.

Haven't you learned my Schtick by now?

The complaint here seems to be with the writing rather than the reporting, with the exception of how many drinks were consumed.

I could see an Australian disputing exactly how much consumption would constitute "heavy drinking."

In the courtroom lawyers use specific words to strengthen their case so I would argue that word usage plays a big role.

Describing something as 'dirt' seems more malicious.

Just as the FISA application used word gymnastics to describe the HRC connection to the Dossier this may in fact be done specifically to mislead the FISA judges.

Scoff at it all you want but its just another piece in the shady activities of the FBI and DOJ under the Obama administration.

We don't know how it was raised and I should have clarified that point. Thats why I think its essential the FISA applications are declassified.

Gowdy is on his way out and has no reason to carry water. He's seen the info and been briefed by Wray and Rosenstein. You'd think his opinion would carry more weight but the desire for a counter-narrative, however wooly, is too strong, I guess.
