I mean it will. But I think the flaws of the faillies are starting to catch up with them. I think they are more a .500 ball club and we should have multiple game lead by the time we play them again.
 
Phillies just blew a lead and are down 8-6 in the top of the 9th. They really are playing really poorly at the moment. The Nats were also losing last time I checked. Tonight is a good opportunity to gain a game on both.

Mathematically, yes it will come down to those last 10 games for sure. But if we go into those games with a 5 game lead, I will have very little anxiety about them. We should be able to take at least 5 of those games. But if we only have a 1 game lead or worse are trailing, my heart can't handle that lol
 
Swanson just executed the exact backhand play he booted in the other game the Braves lost in the 9th.

Hopefully Snit doesn’t bench him for 2 games because of that laziness.
 
In game 1 vs Rays, our vaunted booth said that the Braves Magic Number is 29 vs Phiiiies, 24 vs Nats.

Our 3.5 game lead ties the largest of the season.

The Phiiiies and Nats are beating each other up this week. Braves take care of business at home this week and they will build a bigger spread.
 
Phiiiies blow lead and lose to Nats who turned a DP with a pitcher pinch running in 9th.

Minter making a 9-5 game far to interesting in 9th. Has the bases loaded with 2 outs Had 2 strikes on consecutive batters with 2 outs but couldn't finish them off. A final out on GO 6-3.

Braves now 4.5 up on Phiiiies. Their largest lead of the season.

Magic Number now 27 over Phiiiies and 23 over Nats.
 
Cubs win suspended game then lose the regular scheduled game. They stay 3.5 games ahead of Braves pending the out come of tonight's game vs Rays.

Nats take 4-2 lead in 3rd

Man the Phillies are in the midst of a pretty epic meltdown at the moment. Hopefully we can take full advantage and breeze through September. How nice would it be if we went in to those final 10 games with an 7 or 8 game lead? I had forgotten how fun this is lol
