After game 1 vs BoSox--

Braves 4 games up on Phiiiies and 7.5 games up on Nats Their chance of winning the NL East now stands at 75.2%

Magic number over Phiiiies is 22, over Nats is 18. They are 1 game ahead of Dodgers for 2nd place in standings

Going into game 2 vs Snakes, Braves are 3.5 up on Phiiiies who are currently beating the Mets 3-2 in 6th.

MN over Phiiiies=20. over Nats=14. Remain 6 games back of Cubs for best record in NL.

After 5-4 win over Snakes in game 3, Braves up 3.5 games on Phiiiies and 7.5 on Nats

MN to eliminate Phiiiies is 18 and 13 for Nats.

Nats beat Cubs both games of Double Dip 10-3 and 6-5. Braves are 5 games back of Cubs for best record in NL.

Phillies are down 5-3 against the Mets in the 7th. Could be another big day to pick up some ground on the Phillies. 4.5 would be a substantial lead this late in the year.

Mets hold onto win, would be huge to win and get that 4.5 lead back. 17.

i was really annoyed by the degrom scratch today as now he'll not pitch vs philly again at all this year. Not this series the Mets just won or the next as he had been in line to do. But at least the Mets won anyway today but it still is big break for Philly as now they miss him next series too. I am glad they blew the first game of that big break and hope we win and take advantage of it. Braves are in line to face deGrom against the Mets.

After the 3 HR 9th inning vs Snakes in game 4, the Braves are now up 4.5 games on Phiiiies and * games on Nats.

MNs are 16 for Phiiiies, 12 for Nats.

Close to 4.5 games back of Cubs for Best record in NL.

Cubs/Nats will make up today's rain out this Thurs.

Mets throw Wheeler, Matz, Thor instead of DeGrom, Matz, and Thor, not exactly easy pickings there.

Philly seems to do good against Matz but really struggle vs deGrom. Hopefully Wheeler pitches like him that series, he has been better the second half.

Up 4.5 games after a stretch some thought may make or break our season. Now I think the schedule may flip to favor us....

Braves:
3 @ San Francisco (Rodriguez, Suarez, and Holland scheduled to pitch)
3 VS Washington (Scherzer, Fedde, Roark scheduled to pitch)
3 VS St.Louis (Gomber, Flaherty, and Gant schedule to pitch)
4 VS Philedelphia (Velasquez, Arrieta, Pivetta, and Nola scheduled to pitch)
3 @ New York Mets (Syndergaard scheduled game 1 of series)
3 @ Philedelphia

Phillies:
3 VS Washington (Fedde, Roark, Stras scheduled to pitch)
3 VS Miami (Chen, Brigham, Urena scheduled to pitch)
3 VS Mets (Wheeler, Matz, Syndergaard schedule to pitch)
4 @ Atlanta (our rotation not decided yet)
4 @ Colorado (Freeland and Anderson go the first 2 games)
3 VS Braves

Braves have 2 days off on this stretch run. The Phillies have 1 day off the rest of the season (on Sept. 13) meaning that by the time they get to the Atlanta series in Atlanta and at home, their bullpen and players could be absolutely gassed. As we have seen with our team. Our days off are the 13th, after the Giants series to fly back east, and the 24th, day after the phillies series here, before last road trip of the year.

Braves have played the NL east to a 42-21 record so far this year, while Phillies continue to struggle against the east, with a 28-32 record.

Assuming we play our final 19 games 1 game under 500, that would leave us with a record of 88-74, to tie us, the Phillies would need to go 14-6 over their final 20 games or 15-5 to beat us...

I don't see us playing much worse than a game under 500 and I don't see the phillies losing less than 5 or 6 the rest of the way.

Personally, I'd like those bastards eliminated by the time that last series rolls around.

Of course, I have a feeling they could be eliminated in Colorado....

Now I did mention that they only have the 1 game off the rest of the season. That of course is weather permitting, with the east coast getting ready to get nailed by Florence

Florence could cause some rainouts at the end of this week when the Phillies host the Marlins. Braves home games less likely to be affected.
