Score board watching

Braves lose ground all around after 8-5 loss to Rays. Now 3.5 games up on Phiiiies, 8 games up on Nats and 4 games back of Cubs for best NL record.

Interesting numbers--
% chance of making PO

Braves 70.9
Phiiiies 39.7
Cubs 99.5
Cards 60.6
Brewers 59.0
Dodgers 80.3
Snakes 44.3

Braves continue to play crappy ball. Lose to Cubs and fall to 3 games over Phiiiies, 7.5 over Fish and 5 games back of Cubs for best record. Also fall to 69.1 % chance to gain PO. Phiiiies climb to 40.3%.

So, 5-4 in our last 9 is “crappy ball”?

Yes. When you give away chances to score. Lead off Dbl and can't even advance runner. Runners 2nd/3rd, 1 out and don't score. Many other examples that indicate a lack of baseball fundamentals. Not over coming adverse calls or play. Lost 2 games to Rockies that should have won.

lol

I guess the Braves are the only team in baseball that fails to advance runners sometimes.

BTW, the Braves are 17-12 in the month of August. That's some crappy baseball right there.

Thank you! They're a few "fluky" losses away from having a spectacular month. They've been less fortunate in games lately and things have leveled out a bit, but the month has definitely not been crappy.

What was your response to this--

Well, this was another crappy loss. Surprisingly, the Phillies won, so that hurts as well. Our players need to grow up and win some games. Not hard!! Posted by UNCBlue012 after Braves loss to Pirates.

CyYoung Response--Unreal.

And then you added--

THE BRAVES ARE 2-5 IN THEIR LAST 7 GUYZ.

A little different take on the stats depending on whom you're trying to put down. Opinions are just that, opinions. You seem to have problems with others opinions that do not reflect your own.

What in the actual **** are you on about?

After Pirates series, Braves are 4 games up on Phiiiies and 8.5 up on Nats. Their chances of making PS are now at 74.6%. Phiiiies have dropped to 34.7%.

Braves remain 5 games back of Cubs for best NL record and 1.5 games ahead of Dodgers and 2.5 games up on Snakes.

The Braves are a week-long hot streak away from wrapping the division up. Don’t @ me.

The Cubs are out of reach imo. The ones to keep an eye on are the Dodgers/DBacks to see who has homefield in the DS.

Yeah making up 5 games on them is unlikely. We're a good road team though so I'm not worried about that. Currently up 1 on the Brewers/Cardinals in the loss column and 2 on the Dodgers/Rockies

I want the Rockies to win the West. I like our chances against them over LA

The cubs are out of reach.

The next 10 games are so critical. Three against the Red Sox, four against the Dbacks and three against the Giants. If you come out of that stretch at .500 then I think winning the division is a real possibility. Since we lack a true TOR guy I don’t want to be in a one game wild card game.

The pressure is on the Phillies. They play the Marlins, Mets and Nats over the next 10 games. Hopefully they continue to struggle and not play over .500.

Not including the Marlins, the Phillies face some tough pitching in the Mets/Nats games.

They project to face Matz, DeGrom, Thor vs NYM, and Roark, Stras and Scherzer vs the Nats. No easy pickings there, hopefully the Marlins can get a game.
