Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

Early returns on Rubio make me think he will be a player for Vance VP and then president in 2036.

Hahah - so true. Amazing to hear how uninformed some are and it’s not because of intelligence. Just sources.

Once again, the question is not whether or not China is active in the region but rather what that activity entails and what justification, if any, we have for pressuring Panama to reduce that activity. If you choose to argue against the claim China isn’t doing anything in the region you’re giving yourself too easy an argument to rebut.

It would be easier if you just said "I was wrong and didn't realize how much coercion was happening in Panama by CCP".

Why don't you try agian?

Anyone saying that Trumps demands were vague just aren't paying attention.

Great question

Other countries aren’t trying to maintain some sort of global superiority. All these Chinese programs you’re so worked up about are essentially the same things we’re doing with that money. It’s maintaining influence through diplomacy rather than military force. You seem to want it both ways: you want to keep Chinese influence out of the West, but also want to stop paying for the very programs that allow us to convince other countries not to accept certain Chinese aid.

You can save your breath, I wasn’t missing a bunch of information on the situation, I simply disagree with your assessment of it.

Do you think people disagree with the idea that tariffs harm the country they’re enacted on? Because that’s generally not the case. The argument is that tariffs are painful for *everyone*. You can coercively use tariffs in this exact manner. People aren’t disagreeing with that, they’re arguing against using them for the reasons they’re being used here because prices will increase for Americans.

What price increase? Mexico was so terrified they came groveling back in 48 hours after talking tough.

Like Tapate said - Take a breath guys.
