Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

It’s actually kind of impressive how much Trump’s solution to rising medical costs is simply to lie about the prices he’s going to get prescription drugs down to. Well, that and a government knock off of GoodRx with his name on it.
I’m very interested in this one. My expectation for a while now has been that when it’s time for generics, some minor problem will be found by the FDA that means the formula has to be tweaked and the patents start over. Allowing a few people to buy gold plated weight loss is one thing, but making it accessible to the masses solves way too many other health issues that will cut into far too many industry profits.

But hopefully I’m just being cynical and we’ll see massive drops in obesity rates within a decade.

It also shuts your guts down.

It’s not a miracle, it comes with a good bit of risk.

No they just can't stop putting high calorie foods in their mouths, and they don't exercise enough to be in a deficit.
We're genetically wired to enjoy foods that are high in fat, salt and sugar because it used to be really hard to find. Now it's really easy to find and affordable. Your body is wired to like Korean Fried Chicken, it's not wired to like lettuce. Modern problems require modern solutions.

Yeah it’s harder than eating whatever you want that’s shitty for you. It’s called self control.

Amazing stuff. Thanks

Shocking that people aren’t stoked about a militarized police force going city to city assaulting and throwing people into unmarked cars then bitching like petulant children any time someone questions them.

I’ve said it from the start: the right is overplaying their hand on this. People want safer streets and will support deportations, but they don’t all share in a bloodlust for any illegal immigrant to be hunted down and deported by any means necessary.

If there is anything the Democrats know is the average voter!
They don’t. But neither does MAGA given the way they’ve abandoned such a large segment of their voters by either embracing socialism, fumbling DOGE, abandoning free speech, doing some pretty aggressive shit and governing via executive overreach.

People are very forgiving when you deport criminals / low wage workers resulting in safer streets and more opportunity.

Mid terms are not going to go how people think they will...

Soros funding the no kings rally eh?

Who is shocked?
The last set of No Kings rallies were notably so peaceful that the government had to resort to calling them a nothing burger that nobody cared about after spending the lead up to them fear mongering about violence.

The masses do indeed yearn for more opportunity currently being taken by *checks notes* low wage workers.

But yes, the point is that rather than focus on criminals, they’re being violent dicks toward everybody in sight.

Ummmmm it might have been the 150 officers at the one in Atlanta but sure….
Go with that
