While I understand the likelihood of MLEs, every now and then a player outhits his minor league record. It's a decent bet Swanson is one of those. I like his quick swing and easy gap power, and think it will transition well to the major leagues.
When you figure in the fact that Swanson was in one of the worst parks in MiLB for hitters (actually two of them - Carolina isn't very conducive to offense either), and Bregman played in two pretty good hitter's parks, the difference between their respective performances in MiLB wasn't all that great. Mississippi is where fly balls go to die.
The park factors also make Dustin Peterson's AA season look all that much more impressive. Unfortunately, they also should give us cause for concern with the pitchers (especially Newcomb).
