It's heat and humidity together. How often does it get above 90 degrees in NY? Cause last summer was a bit of a mild summer for us with only about 50 days above 90 degrees. In 2022, we had 75 days above 90 degrees and 2019 it was 100 days. Now granted, that's nothing compared to other southern states like LA and Mississippi, but if you think NY in the summer is worse than TN, I got a bridge to sell you.

People make decisions to move Texas/Florida primarily because of economic resaons. Not becasue its a better place to live.

If you can afford it NY/Cali are far superior in almost every way (taking out the policians [more of an issue in Cali]).

I don't think that - I was just suprised by the rankings.

Mainly showed that to demonstrate that Florida is on its own in awful places to be in the summer.

Ok, but I wouldn't move to either of those places over Florida and its resources regardless of money.

I don't think you know that much about natural florida.

People quoting bugs and heat kinda show themselves to be weak af.

I love love Florida.

Go every year for a golf trip with friends and hav ehad multiple work trips there.

NY is far superior.

People who think otherwise have no clue what NY is about other than twitter clips showing the crime in the boroughs as if that doesn't happen in places like Florida as well.

Yup. Florida really isn't any worse than most of the south in that regard. But they have beautiful beaches and national parks to make up for it. Oh, and lots of great seafood.

Have you heard of Destin, and the small towns on the panhandle? Orlando at FT lauderdale? Spring training in all throughout?

There is one better place to fish. Louisiana then probably Florida then Cali. Golf is as good as it gets.

How long can you genuinely go golfing in nice weather in NY? 5-6 months tops? Compared to year round golf in FL? And don't get me started on fishing.
