The Coronavirus, not the beer

Well this wasn't just a covid relief package. It got packaged with other stuff.

That's the problem. The other stuff avoided scrutiny by being packaged with the "emergency" COVID relief. This relief should have gone through months ago, but wouldn't have scored enough political points and wouldn't have been rushed enough to allow the pork.

"The data strongly suggests that vitamin D is the safest, easiest, and most important anti-pandemic measure the world is failing to prioritize," says Karl Pfleger, Ph.D., biotech investor, former Google data scientist, and one of the organizers of VitaminDforAll.org.

More than 80 percent of COVID-19 patients are deficient in Vitamin D, studies show.

The Open Letter states, "Evidence to date suggests the possibility that the COVID-19 pandemic sustains itself in large part through infection of those with low vitamin D, and that deaths are concentrated largely in those with deficiency."

The goal is that persons achieve and maintain blood levels of vitamin D over 30ng/ml (75nmol/L), a widely endorsed minimum with evidence of reduced COVID-19 risk. The suggested protocol for those not already receiving the recommended intake is 10,000 IU (250mcg) daily for 2-3 weeks (or until achieving 30ng/ml if undergoing testing), followed by taking 2000-4000 IU daily thereafter.

Yeah I mentioned this back in March. It’s holding up

After reading more about the streaming legislation, it's targeted at the "IPTV" providers who sell bootleg cable service.

A couple excerpts rom FDR's First Inaugural Address (nothing to fear but fear itself speech)

In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory.

If I read the temper of our people correctly, we now realize as we have never realized before our interdependence on each other; that we can not merely take but we must give as well; that if we are to go forward, we must move as a trained and loyal army willing to sacrifice for the good of a common discipline, because without such discipline no progress is made, no leadership becomes effective. We are, I know, ready and willing to submit our lives and property to such discipline, because it makes possible a leadership which aims at a larger good. This I propose to offer, pledging that the larger purposes will bind upon us all as a sacred obligation with a unity of duty hitherto evoked only in time of armed strife.

i'm kinda shocked that y'all are so upset about no longer being able to consume for free the fruits of other people's labor and creativity

If they made streaming available everywhere then people would be less inclined to stream illegally. There will always be people who do it illegally, but most people if presented with a decent legal option would take it.

I look forward to more “it’s actually Nancy’s fault people haven’t been helped” takes

Lol

Lulz that article. Maybe we can beat the virus by burning sage around our bed every evening.

DO you know why those things correllate? Low Vitamin D tends to happen when most of the world isn't getting enough sun. I don't know about you all but right now we're 2 and ahlf hours til sunset and it's 30 degrees outside. There's no way of getting vitamin Dwithout risking pneumonia except for, wait for it, supplements. .

Anyway, rather than listen to epidemiologists, we should listen to an investor with interests in BioMed anti-aging.
