In that tweet thread, he says we could be over 500k deaths in US this year. I'm not saying this won't happen, but it does seem unlikely. To hit 500k deaths, we'd have to avg ~ 2,149 deaths a day till January 1st. We have avg'd that much during a 2-week period in April, but its steadily dropped since then.

But the continuation of our econcomy is essential and if the hydroxychloroquine is as good as reported then we won't have to stop at all and then the next step is an approved vaccine.
