The Trump Presidency

According to this article power transfers at noon on January 21st 2021 regardless of anything IMPOTUS does. So at 12:01 if he doesnt leave the secret service either arrests him or become coconspirators. I am wondering if they wont try and pull some shenanigans with the certification of the vote. Heres an article about the 2016 certification.

I can totally see this as the hill Republicans die on. Ironically Biden shut down any questioning of the 2016 vote. Do you really see IMPOTUS lap dog Pence doing that?

To all of our lurking business "savants"
Yeah, you … !!!!

Suppose for a second you were ready to invest your new found gains in a company having a CEO with this track record.
Would you or would you not invest in that company?

You really don't have to answer us, but on your way to … think about it
and all of the people here that told you , maybe Trump really wasn't what you wanted

This is in 3 + years

Donald Trump puts Mike Pence in charge of the #CoronavirusOutbreak in America.

As Governor, Mike Pence oversaw an HIV outbreak in his state of

Indiana due to his extreme incompetence.

It’s like watching an episode of Drunk History about the Flu

Officials at the Department of Health and Human Services sent more than a dozen workers to receive the first Americans evacuated from Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, without proper training for infection control or appropriate protective gear, according to a whistleblower complaint.

The workers did not show symptoms of infection and were not tested for the virus, according to lawyers for the whistleblower, who is a senior HHS official based in Washington who oversees workers at the Administration for Children and Families, a unit within HHS.

The whistleblower is seeking federal protection because she alleges she was unfairly and improperly reassigned after raising concerns about the safety of these workers to HHS officials, including those within the office of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar. She was told Feb. 19 that if she does not accept the new position in 15 days, which is March 5, she would be terminated.

The whistleblower has decades of experience in the field, received two HHS department awards from Azar last year, and has received the highest performance evaluations, her lawyers said.

The complaint was filed Wednesday with the Office of the Special Counsel, an independent federal watchdog agency. The whistleblower’s lawyers provided a copy of a redacted 24-page complaint to The Washington Post. A spokesman for the Office of the Special Counsel said he could not comment on complaints filed with the office.

Kudlow and Mnuchin joining coronavirus task force.

Trumpism is characterized by a disdain of experts. This is going to get interesting. The challenge is to get on the same page with the scientists. Not the reverse. The public is not going to be well served if the scientists are manipulated to serve a political purpose.

“I have a gut, and my gut tells me more sometimes than anybody else’s brain can ever tell me.” chosen is not the only president who says things like this. George W Bush used to say something similar. But I think with chosen one, it is a whole different order of magnitude when it comes to delusional thinking about how great his gut instincts are.

In Japan we're hearing the virus is highly transmittable/contagious and the incubation period may be up to 3 weeks or more, during which time the virus may be contagious. In lay terms - it may be possible to get the virus from someone who doesn't even know they are sick yet. In light of that fact, Trump's claims that the virus was under control show him as honest and accurate as usual.

It's quite possible there are dozens, if not hundreds, of unaware infected people walking around infecting others in multiple countries. And Trump says the number of infected American should be "down to ZERO" in a few days.

Trump is making the same mistakes China and Japan made by downplaying the virus.

He's giving us a textbook example of bad leadership during a crisis. OTOH, I don't think he really cares, or he would not have appointed the least qualified person in the room to be in charge.

I heard a radio ad for Texas state Congress for a guy named Wesley Hunt. I cant find it online to post but its two people speaking. One person is listing the typical things politicians like to brag about like being a veteran but after each thing the first voice lists is a voice saying "And he is endorsed by President Trump" and the way it sounds to me is like they are saying being endorsed by Trump means more than all those things. Totally not cult like at all.

It's almost as if they were trying to manufacture an outbreak. You can bet Trump is mainly focused on how he can use the crisis to his own advantage. Step 1 would be causing widespread panic among the population. Step 2 - Come to the rescue while expanding your own power.

Trump is more concerned about the economy tanking. Because right now it's the only thing he can even "run" on.
