.@realDonaldTrump talked a big game about getting corruption out of gov. But he wants a bunch of tame prosecutors who won’t investigate him.

People getting all in a tizzy about the normal stuff is annoying - and potentially dangerous - boy crying wolf and all. The Left needs to save a bit for the really egregious stuff that'll no doubt come.

To thethe's point about sentiment... here's a good NYTimes article about small businesses confidence in the new President.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/12/business/dealbook/small-business-confidence-trump.html?_r=2

Money quote:

“My gut just feels better,” said Bob Fleisher, president of a local car dealership. “With Obama, you felt it was personal — like he just didn’t want you to make money. Now we have a guy who is cutting regulations and taxes. And when I see my taxes going down every quarter — well, that means I am going to start investing again.”

I'm really curious what regulations Trump has cut so far that a local car dealership is reaping the benefits in just a few weeks.

I hope you know that it's not what has been done, but the potential of what will be done.

Same with the stock market... if Trump doesn't deliver, it will crash bc it has risen on the expectation of changes

But the guy said his gut feels better under Trump than Obama... I'm looking for the concrete evidence that Obama took out an agenda specifically hurting small businesses and what regulations he installed that are affected this guy's confidence in the economy. Because after all if it's as personal as this guy said he wouldn't still be in business right now.

Consumer/investor confidence is one of those weird things where perception is infinitely more powerful than reality.

Well - I'm sure you know that there are more regulations on the book than in any time in our country. Business taxes did not come down. Obama personally attacked the coal industry and his administration picked winners/loser.

And then there was the whole "you didn't build that" comment

It is impressive Republicans are confident and inspired by a Republican President who promises xyz.

Be curious to check back with these same people a year or two down the road.

This all has an eery Mission Accomplished vibe

This too speaks to the sudden wave of economic confidence sweeping the nation

Texas doctor at Trump event bemoans that Medicaid expansion hasn't done what Obama claimed it would.

Texas didn't expand Medicaid.

You guys ask why any credit would be given to Trump for a jobs report.

I post an article from your favorite publication, highlighting several reasons small businesses have more confidence with Trump.

You guys then mock them.

Hate to break it to you, but when an administration highlights lower taxes and less regulations, businesses will look kindly to that. I know the left thinks paying taxes is a privilege and a reward, but the reality is people with any sense of economics knows they slow business growth.
