Thread for Games ...

Because when breaking it down over two years Folty has shown improvement while Wisler has not.

Folty's "improvement" has been minimal at best - to this point.

No one doubts who has the higher ceiling. Again, other than the K/BB Rate they've essentially been the exact same Pitcher - and Wisler is 1/2 year younger.

Surely you guys aren't using something other than just the numbers to decide that Folty is - or will be - better, are you??? Please don't tell us your EYES tell you that.

Folty 2016: 3.17 K/BB, 1.31 HR/9, 1.30 WHIP, 4.24 FIP

Wisler 2016: 2.35 K/BB, 1.49 HR/9, 1.33 WHIP, 4.85 FIP

One of those clearly took a step in the right direction while they other was stagnant. Another year of improvement from Folty and we will have something really useful on our hands. Wisler needs a lot more work.

Get Albies cleared (which happened).

Sign Pagan.

Figure out where Fried starts the season.

Keep Folty's solid start going.

Open the gates.

I think the Fried question is an easy one - start him in AA and then base decisions going forward on his performance.

Wait what? Folty was appreciably better than Wisler last year in every significant stat - K/BB, HR/9, FIP, ERA, etc.
