Top offseason priority?

my offseason priority would be to start saving money to pay manny machado whatever he wants when hes a fa. I want him in third.

Yeah, and hopefully someone we can flip at the deadline to make room for whichever of Sims or Newcomb proves ready by that point.

Nothing that the D-Backs could do at this point would say FU to the Braves after the fallout from the original deal. The PR could not already be worse, which is why the idea of sending him back to the Braves wasn't so ridiculous. At this point, they need to recover something.

I'd love that, but those close to the team have said there's no way he makes it to market. They'll let Adam Jones walk, but they're not losing Machado.
