Yep, since the Braves don't care about winning I think I'll be cheering for Houston this playoffs. I was hoping Houston would get Hamels too but maybe they can still add to their rotation another good arm. Gomez was a solid pickup and upgrade in CF either way.

Would like to see this too. Give him a two month tryout at pro-rated minimum to see it he can earn an arbitration offer. If he earns that, bring him to camp and you can always cut him for 1/6th of his salary by March. Very low risk.

Based on the going rate for decent hitters, I say trade Olivera as soon as he produces anything. Talented 23-year-old hitting is better for us than talented 30-year-old hitting.

Oh my. Javy hit the game winner the night before I believe. Then the next day Sunday we were down 9-3 and Jordan hit a 3 run Homer to close it to 9-6 but still lost.
