Grissom isn't an elite-ish prospect.
Yeah I know. I know we’d have to add more without an elite prospect.

Looks like Giolito, Montgomery, Stroman and maybe Snell are the options. AA should have the prospect capital to push for one of those guys.
Bednar isn’t a FA until 2027. I’m looking for SPs who are likely to be traded.

Every year we throw out the obvious candidates we should pick up and we end up getting pretty much none of them…..
And AA gets difference makers we had no idea we’re available
If the Padres have a bad couple of weeks Hader will be available and Snell. Not sure what it would take but those 2 would def put us over the top. Even though we are already there.
I think a healthy Fried will help put us over the top. A top tier BP piece on the backend is what we need for sure though.
Can never have too much pitching. That seems to be what brought us down last season. Stirder being hurt at the end of the year and coming back for a playoff start was not ideal.
Still makes me chuckle how mad people were at getting Soler
Well yeah, you never can. But if you lose your top starters, you're most likely done anyways. I wouldnt mind someone like Jordan Montgomery who wouldnt cost a ton.
If we're gonna make a splash, i'd go get Bellinger. Put this team over the top. I know that wont happen but that is what i'd do.
People were mad at getting Soler? We gave up nothing to get him.
I was a little bummed that we didn't sell off our rentals like Charlie, TDA, Smyly, Smith, etc. Quite clearly, AA was smarter than me.
But I also had the opinion that if we were going to be buyers, we needed to buying in the bargain bin aisle and not trading away our top prospects. And that's what AA did. So I feel like I deserve a bit of credit for AA choosing my secondary option.
