There’s no shortage of spaces for the elite young minds in our country. Baffling to me that we wouldn’t want to bring in the best and brightest. I think there are genuinely good arguments to be made for evaluating the number of foreign student visas we approve and for which programs, but the idea that Americans just need to be given an opportunity to succeed and we will show we don’t need outside help is a good way to lower overall economic output through decreased talent in the labor force.

Has literally anybody ever claimed white people can’t do these jobs? It’s not a lack of available skill, it’s a lack of desire, particularly at the rates these companies pay when there is less expensive labor available. We can deport the people willing to accept that prevailing wage, but roofs will be more expensive unless you live near an Amish community.

Democrats had plenty of time to do something about this. Biden should have announced he will pardon Hunter on a certain day unless Congress limits the veto power of Presidents so they cant pardon themselves, their family, or co-conspirators to any crime the President was involved in. Then when Republicans refuse they could have still pardoned Hunter and deflect any backlash since they called Republicans bluff.

When I was 18 I started a company selling repossessed mobile homes and moving homes. Tried hiring legal Americans. Good luck finding legal workers for under 100$ a day. So we found 1 illegal immigrant who knew what he was doing and was bilingual and then a few others who were new and didnt speak english. It was the only way to compete. We saved about 200 a day and with many moves taking over 1 day thats a big difference.

I mean, a little while in this case was meant to be years, but I promise we don’t need to start hanging people in the streets over a crime that will come out somewhere around reckless endangerment. Actions like this should have consequences, but feeding into some sort of weird bloodlust isn’t the answer.
