Where will the next war front be?

Here's another case of the "mark of the beast."

Like I said, imho, that's a foregone conclusion. The question for me is, what's next?

Nothing really. Because in the end, it will hurt the Liberals since none of the Conservatives will change because of a law. They want acceptance and the votes and they won't get it, more likely they'll lose more due to this battle, especially blacks who are more homophobic (not by religion but Southern Baptist doctrine is really strong in the AA community) than whites by a large margin.

So you're fine with the legalization of polygamy/polyandry of consenting, legal age adults? Or maybe better put, the marriage of multiple, legal age, consenting partners?

I'd think if gender doesn't matter then neither should number.

In theory, yeah. If a group of people want to get together and get married, that's fine by me. I just worry about abuse, but that goes with any relationship.

I don't support the government mandating a church to perform same sex marriages. That violates the separation of church and state, anyway.

Well, I appreciate that, but I just think it's eventually going to happen - well at least tax exempt status is going to be gone. And hate speech legislation will be a push, imo. We aren't as exceptional of a nation as we think in this regard. And I really don't think there'll be enough progressive support to stop this.

Votes aren't really needed. Only courts. And the courts have basically decided. So any sort of wedding chapel operators, florists, caterers, venue providers, rental companies, etc., must agree, no matter the religious convictions, or be fined, jailed, or put out of business.

And if the little dustup in Houston is any indication, that won't be the stopping point.

We will have gone from "no, never" to "well, but" to "of course" within a couple of decades tops.

And still it won't change the attitudes or opinions or votes. They would just keep it to themselves and feel like blacks in the early 1900's. Damned the Constitution, a worthless document in my opinion in regards to the liberals who hates it.

not really sure why you are hammering about "votes" now

just cause you can get enough people to think their agenda that goes against the rights of others, doesn't mean it should happen. thankfully the courts doesn't always go with the "majority" and actually looks at making sure everyone is treated equal under the law

why would i give a **** about what consenting adults do?

I don't follow you. Votes don't matter. It's done. Now it's, what's next?

Actually they do. Democrats demonize anything remotely Christian base and some weak minded Christians actually might join their side because they were told it is the best thing for them. Of course that won't work on me and Republicans business model of screwing you over is not going to work in me as well. We need a balance and I don't see that coming in my lifetime so I am left on the sideline.

Think about what I am saying and the implications of votes don't matter when they push their agendas.

Who are you addressing?

I know you're not a spiritual guy by any means, but maybe Bedell had the same thought as this...

This comment just reminds me so much of the verses in Judges where the Bible says that "every man did what was right in his own eyes".

I'm afraid that's where we are headed as a country...if we're not there already.

Already there.

Essentially. If no harm is done to others, who cares?

Should harm factor in? I actually think it should and probably would define harm more broadly than you guys, but for argument's sake, why should harm factor in? Harm is done within many traditional marriages. And some folks get off on harm. If folks are consenting, how would you argue against it?

I'm not being argumentative, just wanting to understand progressives better.
