That what you said wasn't true.
your point ?
I could care less to see the movie - before or after controversy.
"Blockbusters" leave me feeling used
The mentions of Forrest Gump are apropos.
"simple is as simple does"

My understanding is Taibbi is now the operator of the Mojo Wire

Don't be ripping on my former Governor! Seriously, worst governor ever.
I imagine liberals hate the Iraq/Afghanistan incursions to the extent that anything associated with them will face a high bar for critical acclaim. For those of us old enough, it was pretty much the same with the Vietnam War.
I don't know if I'll see "American Sniper" or not. My decision will have nothing to do with the way I felt about those wars. I thought Eastwood handled "Flags of my Fathers" and "Letters from Iwo Jima" in an extremely balanced manner and I would be surprised if his approach wasn't the same here. I would guess it's more about the soldier and less about the war.
Who craps on vets ?
I am a vet

Michael Moore in context:
"My dad was in the First Marine Division in the South Pacific in World War II. His brother, my uncle, Lawrence Moore, was an Army paratrooper and was killed by a Japanese sniper 70 years ago next month. My dad always said, "Snipers are cowards. They don't believe in a fair fight. Like someone coming up from behind you and coldcocking you. Just isn't right. It's cowardly to shoot a person in the back. Only a coward will shoot someone who can't shoot back."
....
This film is blatantly propagandic in nature, but that doesn't mean it can't be cinematographically valuable.
See: Leni Riefensthal's Nazi work.
