You've been hired as GM

Wonder what it would take to get Cory Seager and place him at 3b. .. Peraza, Jim Johnson, and Wood/Julio.

Seager is pretty untouchable, but you can bet any deal would start with Simmons, and then add at least 2 premium starting pitchers.

I call Billy Beane and see what we can do for Josh Phegley

Really? Not trying to sound like I think it's a terrible idea but what would you give up for Phegley, and why?

He's had a nice stretch with an OPS over .800, but that's over 129 PAs. He's 27, and put up a slash line of .266/.317/.443/.760 in 1,859 minor league ABs.

You'd trade something of value for that rather than give Bethancourt a legitimate shot? In 2,118 minor league ABs, Christian's line is .272/.302/.382/.684 with similar numbers to Phegley's hot streak in the 81 ABs since he was sent back to Gwinnett, and CB's 4 years younger.

Have you not been paying attention to Mac's season? Also can't deny we've been missing his leadership on the field. His ability to command pitchers is something we've been sorely lacking.

Heyward is one of the 2 best position players in FA, the other being Justin. Being free of Uggla's and BJ's contract, we would be totally foolish to not go after one of them.

An older lefty power hitter having a resurgence in Yankee stadium with awful road splits. I mean even Tex is having a resurgent year there. You want him back? AJ does all the other things just as well if not better than Mac... And Mac definitely would not hit near as well away from Yankee stadium.

Wonder what the price would be on Cheslor Cuthbert. It hasn't come together for him as a player, but he's still pretty young.

It is going to be an interesting rest of this season and off-season. So many moving parts and so many question marks.

I think we are going to see an offseason a lot like the one that just passed. This team won't be recognizable come 2017. (for lots of reasons)

Yeah, I think Hart and his staff are going to be extremely active. Some will be hits, some will be misses, but it feels like ownership is starting to loosen the purse strings again.

I think the biggest difference between last off-season and this one is that there will be some expectations for guys like Mallex Smith, Bethancourt, and perhaps Peraza, which could mean the exit of some veteran players which would in turn lead to some performance regression in the W/L department. I'd like to see them keep Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe around.

I must have missed where AJ is non crapp defender. Also His avg/obp/slg line right now is almost identical to his last year in Atlanta. But yeah there is no way he could hit that well away from Yankee stadium.

Come on man.....that's just silly.

Please go look at his road stats... Thanks
