Would Justin UPton for Jace Peterson been a fair trade in hindsight?
Come on...
No.

Which is funny when I think about it. A lot of people here thought Kelly was a waste of a roster spot. lol
Anyone see some of Fredi's quotes about Teheran. Talk about not backing your players. Holy ****

Nice comeback from the team. Good to see the HR ball coming back. I love the Uribe acquisition
Using the results so far in consideration of salary and control how is it not a fair deal?
No, I didn't. Link?

#Braves Fredi on Teheran: "Health-wise, he’s fine. But it’s not the same Julio from a year ago, where you’d give him the lead and it’s over"

#Braves Fredi on Teheran: "I think he’s OK health-wise, I think it’s just a matter of the game plan, or the way he’s executing his pitches."

#Braves Fredi G on Teheran: "I know his line looks pretty good, but I just didn’t feel comfortable the whole game, to tell you the truth."

Man, I thought the exact opposite. This was one of the few moves this offseason everyone was on board with.

He wasn't exactly throwing Julio under the bus. Hardly any reason for you to be in an uproar about Fredi not "backing his player".
The obsession some of you have with whatever comes out of Fredi's mouth following the game is cringeworthy at times.
Your brain must be an exciting place to be.
To publicly say a player "isn't as good as last year" and that you "don't feel comfortable with him" is putting unneccesary additional pressure on him. How about a Bobby quote:
"He grinded. Got the job done. Kept us in it without his best stuff. We'll keep working to improve."
Simple. Instead we get "Yeah - He's no longer good enough to keep a lead. Not as good last year. I'm not comfortable with him out there"
So we can't use WAR in this argument?
How is it even a debate that it would have been a fair deal straight up using the results thus far?

Exactly. Bobby would have never said anything resembling that.
He would have said something to the extend of that he is working through some things etc....
