Braves have a history of doing that. No reason anybody else should of had #25.
Well let's not act like Heyward is in the same breath as Andruw.

I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, but I also don't see any reason to assume it is either. The only person connected to the Braves that has ever uttered anything negative concerning Heyward is DOB, and I don't think that carries any weight at all. It seems that the split was rather amicable.
But I could be wrong. There might be mutual resentment that no long term extension was worked out. I just don't think anybody really knows what exactly that situation is.

Defense matters at all positions. Other wise why are you trying to compare WAR with Justin and Jace. If LF defense doesn't matter then why penalize Justin for what WAR says how bad he is?
Didn't say it was sacred... but to give it away to the direct replacement immediately after trading the guy?
Well I think a franchise player is elite in both areas. Maybe you have a less stringent definition of a franchise player than I do.
Who cares? It's a number and Jason is gone.
I wish the Braves didn't give Markakis #22... just seemed like a middle finger to Heyward

I prefer the overall approach. Andruw was a franchise player despite being wildly inconsistent at the plate.
Well Marky Mark wore #21 in Baltimore and that number is retired in Atlanta. I'm sure Nick just requested it and I don't think not rejecting that request shows any maliciousness towards Heyward.Didn't say it was sacred... but to give it away to the direct replacement immediately after trading the guy?
That's a fair point. Justin is getting to the point though where it isn't even passable.
Come on man...everyone knows what you do by now
So no one can post anything about Heyward in a thread dedicated to other MLB teams/players/games? Got it
Seems to me like certain posters are sensitive to certain topics.
If I wanted to troll, I can certainly do better than "Heyward hit a HR"
Seemed like Heyward was a bit agitated at the time

He was Babe Ruth at the plate compared with Heyward, let's not get silly. Andruw had multiple MVP type years.
Do you post anything in this section of the forum other than something to be negative?
You are the king of sensitive posters
Andruw had a career WRC+ of 111. Heyward's career WRC+ is 116. Let's not get confused here. Andruw did have several MVP type years because he's the greatest defensive OF of all time. Offensively though? Left a lot to be desired at times. Kind of like Heyward. In the end both were good hitters.
