GDT 9/28/13: Phillies (Martin @ Braves (Minor) 7:10 PM

Dear God, some of you are overreacting. We damn near came back and won the game. CJ got robbed of a possible game-tying hit, got frustrated, threw a tantrum and accidentally hit TP, who probably also had adrenaline flaring. Forget about it, come out and win the damn game tomorrow.

He didn't assult him. He just explained some things to him. No different than he did to Justice 22 years ago, but that happened in the tunnel.

He did not throw a tantrum. He walked to the dugout with his head down and tossed his helmet. That's it. That isn't a tantrum. Apparently it bounced around and hit Pendleton at the other end of the dugout, and he decided to grab a man who wasn't even looking at him. Check the video out. Johnson was shocked as ****. He didn't know what to do. This is all on Pendleton.

I'm blame Gattis.

Paps threw him about 4 juicy 90 mph fastballs and he should've cockthrusted it to send us home on a win.

Tend to agree.

He watched one go right down the middle on 1-1, but good AB from him though.

Ok then. Watched it again after only seeing it live, and you're right, it was overreaction on TP's part. Still, it's a non-issue. They lost a tight game in a critical spot. And I don't think Pendleton would have reacted that way if CJ hadn't done something before. It's over. Move on to tomorrow and try to win homefield.

Dalyn just because jpx doesn't flirt with you anymore, and Julio decided since jpx stopped he wasn't going to continue the circle jerking, doesn't mean you have to get mad at TP for jacking up CJ and call for his immediate dismissal.

I hope you aren't serious. That's a normal thing in professional sports. TP was up in his face but he didn't hit him.

He grabbed him and shoved him and went after him again before the video ended. Damn right I am serious.

I mean are we really going to get bent out of shape at this after some of the things our players have done on the field with other teams?

Some people think TP was angry because CJ didn't run out the play (he did.) Some people think he was mad he slid at first. (?) Some think it's because the ricochet of his helmet.

Per D O'Brien via Twitter -- "CJohnson threw his helmet and it hit Pendleton, that was what led to Pendleton grabbing and shoving him in dugout."

"One Braves official said it was boys being boys and was taken care of, downplayed the entire incident."

One could argue, the first 6-7 steps out of the box CJ was watching the ball and not going full hustle to 1st base.

He turned on the jets it appears after he realized Rollins made a great play to snag the ball deep on the grass.

The postgame exchange came after C. Johnson threw a helmet that hit TP in the dugout.
