BTW, how about Pache today? What if he rips it up this Spring? At what point do you give him a shot at right field?

Should have traded ender this offseason. Played acuna in CF for a season. Used prospects to make a stronger run at JTR and then get the best bat possible for LF. Pache is going to be a good one.

Ender's contract is so team friendly (the guy traded away his prime years for way way below market value) that it won't affect us like Tehearn's is.

Not to mention I don't see his defensive value falling off a cliff, and he's still a leader and mentor in more ways than Tehearn is. Tehearn is one of the quieter guys on the team and to me still feels like he's a sophomore. Whereas Ender has firmly placed himself as one of the clubhouse leaders, and the General of the Defense.

There may be a few AL teams that would be interested in Inciarte because the DH allows a more defensive-centric approach at a couple positions. In the right situation, I could see him playing another 6-8 years. His defense will fall off some, but he's a good base-runner and not a total loss on offense. He has this form of "baseball ADD" when he has a bat in his hands that erodes some of his value.

Money can insulate you from most of what you don't like about a city. Harper will have more than enough cash to afford a staggering mansion in a tony suburb outside of Philly, and his only interactions with the city itself will be driving to the stadium every day. And he can spend the six months of the off-season living in Vegas or Florida or Paris or wherever the hell he wants.

Those fans in the stadium, though....

yep, i really think he doesn't want to play in front of the fans.

Lol. If it's not obvious to anyone by now, Harper really doesn't wanna go to Philly.

Boras wants him in Philly, Harper wants SD/LA/SF, somewhere on the West Coast. I'm guessing he'll go to Philly because they're the only team willing to give him 300+ and 10 years. If he goes to LAD over them, that will tell a whole lot.
