I was raised on half and half coffee. Half used grounds, half new, to save money. If it wasnt strong enough you just ran it through the machine a second time. I guess that's why I just can't like quality coffee. I'll take the Folgers/Maxwell House stuff every time, with an occasional chicory blend if I feel like adding cream.
Worked in a bagel store from 13-18 out of necessity. That’s where I started to discover coffee. My father always had the instant in the house. Could never get used to it.
