I feel like a point that doesn’t get mentioned is while we’re 3 games back we’re 5 back in the loss column. Not insurmountable but not as good as it looks at first glance.

If by “get going” you mean be a roughly average player overall who should be batting at the bottom of the lineup, then yes, he’s already that minus a bit of luck this year.

If you’re still expecting more from him than the almost 2 win player he’s settled into being, then no, he’s probably not ever going to “get going”. He’s fine as a SS who bats 7 or 8 or 9…not so fine batting 5th.

I suspect the Braves will not be paying Swanson $10M next season. I’m guessing his equally mediocre, but much cheaper, replacement is currently in AAA.
