WS tix?

Makes the Omni reservation feel a little better now at least - so long as there's a game Sunday.

If you were prepared to pay up to $1,000 for one, having the fallback of the good view from the pool area and my room an elevator ride away doesn't seem like quite as big an overpay as it seemed like at first.

But do you get the atmosphere of being inside the stadium? I honestly don't know, just asking. I got the cheapest ticket available, just going by myself, want to be there. Bucket list item to be at a world series game for me, and for me personally that means being inside the stadium.

I didn't get any either. I needed 4

Don't give up. My guess is there will be more available tomorrow when they open the queue up to the general public. I doubt they would advertise general public availability for tickets only to not have any available.

Haven't seen a game from the Omni areas, so I can't say for sure. In the past - as in before SunTrust/Truist Park I'd definitely say no, but having seen how close the Omni pool area/viewing deck/etc. are I'm not so sure it's as big a deal for me. All the pre- and postgame activities will happen in The Battery, so you don't really need a ticket for that. If you want to try to get on camera behind Chip, BJ, and whomever else while they're wrapping up the game on Braves Live you don't need a ticket. From the limited views I've seen on the telecasts it's pretty tough to imagine those areas don't feel like you're actually part of everything.

Essentially you're paying for a ticket (with a potentially *hitty view), access to overpriced food/drinks from The Chophouse or one of the few other interior spots you can't access from The Battery, and your ticket stub/badge if you buy a ticket. It's not like the old days when you could only buy certain hats/shirts/memorabilia if you were inside the gates - if you're willing to pay for it you can pretty much get anything you want without bothering to go inside.

I'm old-style too, and haven't yet decided whether I'll shell out a little more money to get in once I get there on Sunday - "being there" is still actually being there for me too, but to a much lesser extent than it used to be. I've been to the park before, have seen and have all the personal pictures of the various shrines, etc.. As of right now, I'm leaning no. That feeling may very well change when I find out exactly what the pool viewing area is like first-hand. If it does, I'll start scrounging around for a ticket Sunday afternoon. I've already shelled out more money than I ever imagined I would just to be in the vicinity of a game, what's another grand???

Ticket prices rose on the 2nd release today. If they go up again tomorrow, I'll pass. I'll go stay in Biloxi Saturday, eat a great seafood buffet, watch the game in the beau rivage, and get Sunday morning, and drive to Nola to watch the saints play Tom brady; I can do all this, and save a lot of money. I really wanna go to the WS, but $500-600 tix seems a rip off

That’s about the GDP of the state of Mississippi, so I can see the concern.

If I wasn’t going to Mexico that entire week I would be hard pressed not to have my ass in a plane to Atlanta and grabbing whatever scalped ticket I could get my hands on.

Have a friend that Is a season ticket holder, that bought 2 for games 3-4-5 and sold them already for 1800.00 a ticket.
Can’t believe he got that much.
He paid 550 a ticket.
Kinda sickening he wouldn’t go himself.
Said he needed the money.
Smart from a business prospective though lol

The OF seats are $550 face. I'm not trying to be mean, but I think you need to adjust your price expectations.

I'm making the trip down to Atlanta with my family this weekend. Couldn't be more excited. If anyone has tickets they are looking to sell (or knows someone looking to sell) for any/all of the games please let me know!

Face changed with each ticket window opening today.

One of the groups I put into my cart to buy had OF tickets for $820 each.

I keep going back to this. For what it would take for me to get three tickets for my family, we could all go to Mexico or some Caribbean destination next spring/summer, stay at a nice resort, fly first class, and do 2-3 dive trips. That doesn't even take into account driving down, hotel rooms, boarding our dog, etc.

"Can afford" and "should buy" are two different things entirely.

The other side is this. In the early and mid 90s I was either a college student who couldn't afford to go to a regular season, much less a postseason game, or just out of school working, buying a first house, etc. I always said "they'll get there again soon...I'll go next time." Never thought that next time would be in my 50s. I don't want my son to miss out like I did.

Exactly, and I didn't think it really needed clarifying. 1 ticket at $550 is steep, but me needing 4 makes it a little more difficult decision.

Oh it would have been just me heading to Atlanta. I wouldn’t ruin that experience by bringing the family.

I would love to fly to Atlanta this weekend to catch a game, but to be honest I am already too much of a nervous wreck watching it from home. I’ll buy some WS merch to play my part.

Cheers to all of you attending in person. Help the boys close this one out.
