2022 Trade Deadline

I’m saying I don’t think they gave anything up. I think this was basically a DFA-for-DFA scenario.

I get it. Just don't want Adrianza at all. Much less having to give up something other than cash to get him (even if Harris was likely gonna be cut soon).

Kinda of a bizarre move for the Sox, huh?

Yeah it's pretty weird, Mets fans didnt want him since they want someone better but supposedly their FO doesnt wanna trade top prospects for a rental. Guess we'll see.

I think removing Canó is a net benefit, even if I agree that Adrianza isn't a needle-mover at all. I hope they have more up their sleeves than just jettisoning Trey Harris for a very minimal, very marginal upgrade over Canó.

That's twice AA has missed getting Pham.

I'm sure he has another OFer up his sleeve.

Pham isn't very popular as a teammate. I imagine the Joc/Pham situation may also play a factor. Joc was a clubhouse darling here and some of the guys didn't seem too shy about voicing their opinion about the slap incident this year.

I didn't realize all this. If he's really the MLB equivalent of the twats that post like drunk angry ignoramuses on this board then he's not talented enough to deal with.

I'm curious to see what happens with Conforto. He will only be allowed to hit if he comes back this year, but he has "short term prove it deal" written all over him...and we know AA loves those types of contracts.

He could sign as a bat this year with some sort of reasonable option for next year. That could help the DH spot now and fill LF in 2023 with a low cost, high upside option. I would gamble on him this year if it meant I got him for next year too. I would gamble on him this year anyways actually.

What’s the chance he gets to play this year?
