Chicago is a good sports town remember.
Yeah, they were real loud yesterday when we were scoring all those runs.
Oh, wait, those were Braves fans taking over their park.

Lemme ask you fellas a question -
I know y’all are smarter than me -
Let’s say you are AA and our FO think tank -
You run Fried through the gauntlet of medicals and MRIs and etc - he is all clear……
You know where this is going -
Do you risk greatly screwing up our window by extending him for the fortune he will command ?
Or do you let him walk next winter with hopefully two shiney new ‘23 and ‘24 WS rings?

The Cubs fans were very passionate as well. Watch the highlights of th3 4th inning. Every time there was a homer or big hit, the Cubs fans behind the plate would throw their hands up in emotion.
does anyone have our record in games by starter this year? Be curious to see the impact of games started by our quad A starters. Offense has been so good, not sure how much of a difference it has made, but wondering had it been Fried vs those others if we’d actually have been on track to have a shot to break all time wins record
If the club wins two rings, Fried can go chase the money. Getting three rings out of his tenure would be enough. Just don't see AA breaking the bank for a starting pitcher. Too much volatility.
If Fried would do a short term high AAV contract (say 3/130) I'm sure AA would be all over that. No way Fried does that though unless he gets hurt again.

Rodon got 6/162 and he wasn't nearly as dominant or healthy over his career as Fried has been. Fried and his agent likely don't blink for less than 7/170.
