2023 Misc Braves Talk

the series in LA will be epic.

For the last 5 days, I have told myself to bet on the Dodger$ money line.. that way if they win, then I profit.. if they lose, I am happy.. I didn't do it.

I’d place its importance behind health, division round matchups, and personal enjoyment of the rest of the season (why get worked up if they are playing well?)
 
Homefield isnt the end all be all but it still matters. Having homefield over LA if that matchup happens would be a big deal b/c the Braves generally play like **** in LA.

I mean they wont win out the rest of the season but since the deadline, they're a much, much different team. That series in LA is very important if we ended up tied, right now they have the tiebreaker.

A bye is important for rest for sure, but given how bad the Braves have been in LA. I think having homefield over them would be pretty damn important. If not then they'll probably have to win 2 in LA since LA can probably grab one in Atlanta if that matchup happens.

Of course. But it's silly to reduce the importance just because it's not your top priority. It's still a priority. Plus, this team has been ass in LA. We need to be home.
 
I want home field only because it would force MLB to give the Braves more home night playoff game.. No way they would put their beloved Dodger$ at 7:25 am on a Wednesday afternoon.

I think that also depends on who we play. Like, if we get SF, i think all those games are primetime. Cant see them put SF in an early timeslot.

They would totally put SF in an early timeslot if it means LAD-CHI is the 2v3 matchup.

They would want to maximize Chicago and SoCal markets.
