Ahh I found out what it was. They moved the original game from Thursday to Monday to accommodate the Eagles Thursday night game at home. It was scheduled for 4:05 but that could have posed a problem with traffic coming in and out of the complex.

My printed schedule before the season had this as an off day with the series Tues-Thurs. Did they change this at some point because of the DH? I never heard of MLB changing offdays in the schedule during the season.

It's not going to affect the season one way or the other, but it is puzzling. I wish the beat writers would ask that question, because perhaps there's something we don't know.

Fried's first start was August 4th, and in those 37 DAYS the Braves big 4 have pitched in 26 of 32 games. If they had gone to a 5 DAY schedule, they could have skipped that 5th guy sometimes...
