This actually makes me wonder about the whole "team chemistry" thing. Some of my analytically-inclined friends seem to think that it's utter bull****, especially since it's impossible to measure or quantify. Personally, I have a hard time believing that professional sports is the only place...
I honestly can't believe how hard the passing of someone I don't actually know has hit me. Blessings on the journey, brother, and comfort and peace to the family.

This is my understanding, at least in the short term. I wouldn't surprise me if that changes over the next several months, but I doubt it's near-term. That is, however, a guess.
DirecTV is being spun off from AT&T, with AT&T retaining 70% ownership. The newco is taking the various TV streaming services with it (Uverse, AT&T TV) and branding them all under the DirecTV name. No other changes.
