Oh I understand there's still time, but when guys like Miller and Cabrera, both of whom would have been great additions to our bench and fit perfectly with what we still need, and they both sign for low amounts, you have to at least wonder.
Bauer is not elite, in fact he's more a 3 or 4. He's had two good years, 2018 and the short 2020. The rest of his years have been very mediocre with a career ERA of 3.90. Let the Mets spend 30+ on him and his head case ways.
Why the hell did the Braves ever sign this guy? He is absolutely terrible. He better be released as soon as this game is over. Let literally anyone else start.
Tommy Milone has no business on this team. Over the past 4 years he has an ERA of 5.66, the same as this year. Who gives a damn if he can throw strikes if he's throwing batting practice strikes? He's simply not worth a damn. Give those starts to Wright/Touki/Davidson. At least they have good...
Thanks for the clarity guys. I feel better about the deal now. I guess I'm just a big supporter of a strong farm system and hate losing the pick, especially in light of the sanctions imposed on us.
It's not? Then I stand corrected. I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know how that is calculated. Apparently I've misunderstood how that's done all this time.
I do see that he is projected for 3. Possible but unlikely given he's only reached that level twice in seven years. But let's go with the 3, adding 2 War is worth $16MM, not $18MM plus the pick. So yes, I am correct, but sorry, all of us can't be.
