You might be thinking about me, but my contention was i thought he would get about 3 million per for 2 years and I did not want to committ that to him.

I have said it before, Heyward needs to drop CJ Stewart as his swing coach. He has the ability, but his swing does not lead to consistency.

I personally wouldn't sign him for more than 1 year, but this is his last chance at a multi-year deal, even as a super-sub. I just don't get the feeling that he will end up with the Braves.

I don't disagree that he would be a good fit. With his age and talent, I think he will get atleast a 2 year deal from someone and I wouldn't be shocked to see him get around 3m a year. If he is in for a 1 yr w/option then I could see us in for his services, but I don't see us committing more...

It's been awhile since I posted, but I was thinking about infield bench. What about Furcal off the bench? He could play all 3 positions in the field and help us with our running game. Plus if something happened to Simmons, he could slot in pretty easily.
