Sure didn't take the new commish long to screw the braves.
Manfred is not in office yet.
Sure didn't take the new commish long to screw the braves.
That bull**** protest by the Giants might end up screwing us. Hopefully not.
Sure didn't take the new commish long to screw the braves.
The Cubs supported the protest because it was their mistake that caused the issue.
Part of the game just like calling infield Flys 50 feet into the outfielder a split second before the ball hits the ground or allowing Eric Gregg to call a playoff game
Not properly covering the field during a downpour is part of the game?
C'mon. That was a fair ruling. If the Giants end up 1 game ahead of the Braves, this will be way down on the list of reasons, imho.
Human error isn't part of the game? Or is it just okay when we get screwed?
Human error isn't part of the game?
What's to stop a team from manipulating the ventilation system?
What's to stop an umpire from making up his own strike zone.
If there was evidence the Cubs did this on purpose I would agree but they didnt. The giants should get the same answer every time we get screwed, which is "tough ****".
What would stop a team from intentionally causing a rainout?
The Yankees let a giant puddle form around first base in similar circumstances in a game against the Rangers this year. I don't think this is uncommon.
I don't think Selig has it out for the braves but he has made many decisions that have severely hurt the braves. The most heinous being forcing the braves to split their TBS money equally with other teams then demanded the braves charge so much that TBS had to drop them. How he can do that in the name of fairness but do nothing to stop the yankees financial advantage pissed me off to no end. The wild card probably has cost the braves at least 1 championship. It lowered the odds that the best team would win. The year before the second Wild was added we finished second. The next year we finish first in wild card and lose partially thanks to a bad call. I bet some changes will be made when the yankees lose to a blown call in a 1 game playoff. When the commish steals our teams revenue and is now currently paying our main division rival who has a higher payroll than we do I start to get a little paranoid.
I don't know if there was ever a protest about the ventilation but just because you don't know a team is cheating doesn't mean they should get away with it. I am refreshing the twins in 1991. The person responsible even admitted to doing it. Bobby Valentine of the Rangers said his players complained that the air was blowing out when they were in the field and blowing in when they were at bat. This was widely speculated to have happened in the world series we lost.
I can't help but see a pattern.
Well I said I don't think Selig is intentionally screwing the braves, just that he does it a lot. I personally do not recognize any accomplishments by the yankees or their players so to me we won several championships.
Is there anyone here that denies the TBS thing was royal screwing by Selig?
