Starting to feel like we're going to end up with the 3rd pick. The Reds are in full tank mode, having lost 9 in a row, and they've got the Cubs and Pirates. Plus they hold the tie breaker against us I believe.

It's all going to come back to that stretch where we won 5 out of 6 against the Phillies and Mets a couple of weeks ago.
 
I agree. The reds have basically mailed it in and are in gunning for the #2. The #3 spot wouldn't be too bad as we can get a good pick, just hate losing the bonus pool money that the #2 brings.

The Reds could be an interesting team to watch in the off-season. They aren't a big payroll team and they've got some good-to-very good players with reasonable contracts. Terrible pitching though.
 
Trade partners?? I need to look at their roster more to be able to comment. I know they still have Fraizer and Bruce (I believe) Why I can't think of any other players is beyond me..

I said somewhere.. that if the Phils and Reds get 1/2 they would probably go pitching.. which means Rutherford would be available at #3. what I wonder is what are the braves thinking with their pick. if they stay at #2 do they go pitching or hitting. They will have to pick in the amateur draft before they know if they have secured maitan I believe.
 
Do we own the tiebreaker between us and the Reds? I think the season series is even. We'll probably end up 3rd regardless, figures if so.
 
This really is our worst September collapse yet. I'd be genuinely interested to go back and check if our September record this year would have gotten us into the postseason in 2011.

Edit: Yes, yes it would have.
 
Considering the Braves have the worst run-differential in baseball, they deserve that top pick.
 
Looks like we can now officially do no better than the 3rd pick. We'll be anywhere between 3-5. Big dumb dumb heads.
