Sources : Braves LHP Sean Newcomb is a name to watch if Miami & Atlanta get serious on Realmuto. No deal is close, but I’ve heard his name come up in another possible trade variation with the two clubs.

now this is a rumor that sounds like something AA would try.

Where do i sign?

Alex Anthopoulos: "We’re talking about some things. I wouldn’t say we’re close. But we’ve definitely had some conversations about (trading) some players off the big league team."

it would be funny if the players mentioned are no one rumored.

Not really, if you consider the only players on the big club no one's really considered trading under any circumstance are Freddie, Acuna, Donaldson, and Albies.

as usual, you missed the point. it would be funny because it would show they didn't know AA's plans again.

per mlbtr, "Behind the dish, the Marlins’ asking price on J.T. Realmuto may be creeping back down to more realistic levels, Joel Sherman of the New York Post tweets. The organization has long been said to be asking for an enormous return in exchange for two seasons of the game’s best backstop, which truthfully isn’t an unreasonable starting point. Still, as Sherman notes, the club will ultimately likely be forced to take what the offer will give. For the Mets, pursuit of Realmuto is still seen “as a long shot,” Sherman adds on Twitter. And the Phillies are presently focused on other pursuits, per Scott Lauber of the Philadelphia Inquirer (via Twitter), such that they haven’t engaged with their division rivals in Miami regarding Realmuto in a few weeks’ time."

If true maybe this sets up AA pulling off a Newcomb package for Realmuto.

Heyman: Braves are an under the radar team on J.A. Happ. Uncertain of their chances but they appear to be still in a field that’s been narrowed from a dozen or more.

The hell? We are in on everyone lol

I rather just bring back Sanchez as I don't want him signing in our division. He is a different pitcher now with that cutter to go along with his fastball and the 65 mph change-up and curveball mix.

Newk seems like the perfect player someone who's way in over their head on baseball ops like Jeter would consider trading for.

I would squeal of excitement if we were able to build a package for JT around Newk and another high-end prospect. That’d be incredible!

I like Happ as a target if it's a two-year deal. I figure he's more likely headed to NYY though.

How high you talking, like a Wright/Touki/Soroka/Anderson or Wentz/Allard/Wilson/Fried, or a Pache/Riley/Waters type? God we have so many ****ing prospects.

The problem with trading Folty is there's still ceiling left. With his stuff, if he were ever able to put it all together he becomes a legit TOR starter. So it's not like trading high on a guy who had an outlier season where his stats outstripped his skill.

While it's possible and maybe even likely Folty falls back to earth, there's still a non-zero chance he breaks out and becomes an ace. I'd have to have that reflected in the cost.

He's already a TOR pitcher and is not far from a legit ace
