That place absolutely kills him and he's STILL the best offensive Catcher in the game.

Since 2016 JTR has a 137 WRC+ outside of Miami. That road WRC+ is the 16th best in baseball in that span. So yeah that is worthy 4 hole numbers. That said if we do acquire JTR I think he slots in 2nd behind Acuna since he has a really good OBP and you put JD 4th since he has more power.

Acuna-JTR-Freeman-JD would be a super strong 1-4.

Well Mac was only signed for 2 million, so it's possible they don't believe he'll be able to play significant games behind the plate. He has some experience at 1b also, so he could spell Freddie when needed, as well as being the 1st left handed option off the bench. Basically take over the Flaherty role.

I’m not a huge jtr guy at riley plus one of our top pitchers cost. It’s only two years and he’s a catcher. He will only play 2/3 of the games.

I think the best I would do is Pache plus Wright plus allard.

I wonder if the marlins would take Tehran. They need pitching. They have nobody to spend money on. He could rebuild value and be flipped. You might get more out of the braves.

NBA off season and NFL off seasons are more exciting and there are always a flurry of moves that happen over a short period of time. I love baseball and always have, but for a game to be as “slow” as this one is, the off season is even worse right now. I don’t think most casual or even avid fans really care where Machado or Harper sign at this point. Not trying to blame anyone here, but this dragging of the feet is boring. Remember when minimal things happened prior to winter meetings? Remember when the winter meetings were exciting? Now you have prizes free agents looking for a team coming up on the second week of January.

Literally the only interesting thing about the NFL offseason to me is the draft. That's pretty cool, but I almost never track things like free agent signings unless its some pro bowl caliber QB on the market, which is pretty rare. I'm not an NBA fan because of the lack of parity, but I can objectively see that their offseason is probably a little more exciting, but that is really only because a single player can change the trajection of a franchise for years.
