Seems pretty straight to me, but he doesn't give up that many hits or hrs sooo... not sure what to think

I've only been watching since the top of the third, but his fastball has seemed to have decent movement to me.

I think the 60+ I've seen hung on his curve is definitely warranted.

I think having a MLB catcher calling his pitches will (and is) making a difference in him. He could go eight innings right now with that low of a pitch count. He rarely gets out of the 5th on 100 pitches normally if I remember right.

You just might be right. Newcomb has been very efficient today. Only 65 pitches (w/50 strikes) in 5 innings - that's pretty darn good

I don't think I've seen any change ups...he does throw two different curves...one that is more of the lollipop get over for a strike and the other that's harder and usually ends up in the dirt.
