Around Baseball 2015 Edition

Jayson Werth is probably my favorite player on the Nats. Mainly because he isn't a festering glob of smegma.

Ah, yes. I'm also reminded of the alien with the cold from the movie Flight of the Navigator whenever I see Bryce Harper.

Yes, I do.

What Bumgarner did last year in the playoffs should shut you up but nope.

When Strasburg does anything close to that in the playoffs, come talk to me.

I love the optimism, but the outright refusal of some to accept that we've performed over our actual ability is a little shocking to me

I just don't see how we've been THAT "overperforming," if at all. It's not like we're crushing the ball. And the fact that we have a better approach is huge to me. This team isn't nearly as frustrating as last year's, IMO, and I don't see why we can't keep up our mediocre at best hitting. We will see.

Different strokes, I guess. If I had invested any pretensions in this team being competitive this season, I'd personally find this year's squad a lot more frustrating to watch that last year's, at least on the hitting side.

I could see the Braves offense performing like they have the past 10 games, but it is readily apparent that the Braves pitching is starting to perform to expectations. The pitching upgrades will more than account for the offensive regression, IMO.

I still think we are a 70ish win team, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them flirt with .500 the rest of the season and/or up until the trade deadline.
