Around the Majors - 2022 Version

Bill James is floating an idea/future rule change that hitters should only be allowed two foul balls after the batter takes a strike two. The third foul ball would result in an out. Anyone else like this idea?

In a rec softball league? Sure.

Love the over the top reaction at this point. He needs to be made fun of, openly.

Players should have made removing him from the umpiring rotation a part of the CBA negotiations - that probably would have helped get the deal done earlier because it would have been something both sides would have agreed to quickly to get things moving.

How much of an idiot does he feel like after turning down the QO

The best part is when Conforto first injured the shoulder a couple of months ago while working out and Boras assured everyone that it was no big deal and that he was still drawing major interest from teams.

AA's OF moves make a lot more sense if he was counting on Conforto being there for a bargain deal, only to learn the injury was much worse than anticipated.

It's literally the only excuse I can see for the current OF situation.

Yup… good luck getting a big deal next year now

I guess there is a rumor going around on Twitter from Carlos Baerga suggesting Rosario is expected to miss 6-8 weeks for emergency eye surgery. I guess take it with a grain of salt
